Ellesmere. In Ward Hunt Island in northern arctic Canada and close to the famous Ellesmere Island, scientists have found a bottle with a message written by glaciologist Paul T. Walker 54 years ago.

The letter, which was posted on July 10, 1959, left instructions for those who find it to measure the territory from that point to an ice shelf and send the data to the Ohio State University, according to CBC News.

According to data obtained from the measurement, the ice shelf has retreated about 60 square meters. His interest in the subject, the late Walker becomes a pioneer in the study of global warming.
